About Us

Bumpology is a trading name of The Phlebotomy Centre Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

All appointments, payments, and services provided under the Bumpology brand are operated and managed by The Phlebotomy Centre Ltd.

Throughout these Terms & Conditions, references to “Bumpology”, “we”, “our”, or “us” refer to The Phlebotomy Centre Ltd trading as Bumpology.

Our Services

Bumpology provides private, non-diagnostic pregnancy ultrasound scans in a calm and professional clinical environment.

Our services are intended to provide reassurance and personal viewing opportunities during pregnancy. They do not replace NHS antenatal care, hospital ultrasound scans, diagnostic imaging, or medical advice.

All clients are advised to continue attending all routine NHS and maternity appointments throughout pregnancy.

Booking Appointments

Appointments can be booked online via our approved booking system or directly through our clinic.

By booking an appointment, you confirm that:

  • You are aged 18 years or over

  • The information provided during booking is accurate to the best of your knowledge

  • You understand that our scans are non-diagnostic

  • You agree to these Terms & Conditions

Appointment durations are approximate and may vary depending on clinical circumstances and image acquisition.

Payments & Deposits

Payment may be required in full or as a deposit at the time of booking.

All prices are listed in GBP (£) and are subject to change without notice.

Outstanding balances must be paid prior to or at the time of your appointment.

Cancellations & Refunds

Appointments may be rescheduled with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in the loss of any deposit paid.

Failure to attend an appointment without notice may result in the full appointment fee being retained.

Refunds are considered at the discretion of The Phlebotomy Centre Ltd.

Where image quality or visibility is affected by factors outside of our control, including baby’s position, maternal body composition, placental position, or gestational stage, refunds will not usually be provided.

Ultrasound Scan Information

Bumpology provides non-diagnostic ultrasound scans only.

While we aim to provide reassurance and clear imaging where possible, our scans are not intended to identify abnormalities, diagnose medical conditions, or replace NHS diagnostic services.

If any concerns arise during your appointment, we may advise you to contact your NHS maternity provider or seek further medical assessment.

Gender confirmation is provided based on visibility and gestational stage but cannot be guaranteed in all circumstances.

NHS & Medical Care

Clients remain responsible for attending all NHS antenatal appointments, scans, and maternity care throughout pregnancy.

Bumpology does not provide emergency obstetric services or ongoing maternity management.

If you experience symptoms such as pain, bleeding, reduced fetal movements, or any urgent concerns, you should contact your NHS maternity team or emergency services immediately.

Image Quality & Limitations

Image quality and scan visibility can be affected by several factors including:

  • Gestational stage

  • Baby’s position

  • Placental position

  • Maternal body composition

  • Movement during scanning

While every effort is made to obtain suitable images during your appointment, specific images or views cannot be guaranteed.

Conduct & Safety

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate appointments where behaviour is considered inappropriate, unsafe, abusive, or disruptive towards staff or other clients.

For safety and comfort reasons, we may limit the number of guests attending appointments where necessary.

Privacy & Confidentiality

All personal information collected by Bumpology is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

Medical and personal information is stored securely and used only for the purposes of providing our services.

Liability

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes liability where exclusion would be unlawful.

The Phlebotomy Centre Ltd shall not be held liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our services.
